About InPostPreview
InPostPreview is a free browser tool that shows you what a LinkedIn post will look like before you publish it — the line breaks, the wrapping, and exactly where the “See more” fold falls on a phone or a desktop feed.
Why this tool exists
Most people write LinkedIn posts in the platform’s own composer, in a notes app, or in a document — none of which look anything like the feed the post ends up in. A draft that reads well in a wide editor can wrap badly on a phone, and a hook that seemed punchy can end up truncated halfway through a sentence by the “See more” fold.
InPostPreview was built to close that gap. You paste or type your draft on one side, and the other side renders it as a LinkedIn-style post card at a real device width, so you can see the wrapping and the fold before you commit to publishing.
How it works
Where a line of text breaks depends on the rendered pixel width of every word, the font, and the width of the container — not on a fixed character count. A line of narrow letters fits many more characters than a line of wide ones. So instead of estimating from a character count, InPostPreview renders your actual text in the browser at the selected device’s content width and measures the real line positions that come back.
That measurement is what drives the fold indicator. Switching between mobile and desktop re-renders your post at that layout’s width, which is why the same text can show five lines before the fold on desktop and three on a phone.
What it costs and what we collect

Who runs it
InPostPreview is an independent project, built and maintained by a small team that writes on LinkedIn and wanted a better way to check posts before publishing. It is not a LinkedIn product. We are supported by advertising and by Reshaper AI, which keeps the tool free to use.
